Leeds United confirmed XI v Crystal Palace: Darko Gyabi axed from squad, Adam Forshaw returns

Leeds United have confirmed their starting XI for their Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.

Javi Gracia has named an unchanged team for the visit of Roy Hodgson’s side with Patrick Bamford starting up front once again.

One change has come on the bench with Darko Gyabi being axed from the matchday squad, with Adam Forshaw coming in to replace the summer signing after returning from injury.

Good form

After the win over Nottingham Forest, Leeds should be extremely confident heading into this fixture. It was one of the best displays of the season and a repeat performance should see the Whites put another three points on the board. Everyone was looking at these two home fixtures and it’s imperative they’re capitalised on, especially with Liverpool to come.

With there being so many teams fighting to secure their Premier League status, a consistent run of results could see Leeds well clear of the bottom three in no time. There were so many impressive performances against Forest with Weston McKennie and Jack Harrison the standouts.

Palace are also rejuvenated after their 2-1 win over Leicester in Hodgson’s first game back at Selhurst Park. The Eagles certainly have a lot of exciting young talents within their ranks and could cause Leeds some issues on the counterattack if given the chance.

A dominant and energetic performance, coupled with three more points would mark an excellent Easter weekend for Leeds.
