Leeds United 'concerned' over Raphael Guerreiro transfer amid Premier League struggles
Leeds United are now very worried that their Premier League form will see Raphael Guerreiro choose not to sign for them, according to Dean Jones.
The former Eurosport journalist believes that people within Elland Road are no longer convinced that the Portuguese international will fancy joining the Yorkshire outfit.
TEAMtalk reported on 26 November that the 28-year-old was viewed as the ideal fit to solve their left-back problems having been forced to play Pascal Struijk in that position all season.
“At the moment, because of their league position, they’re concerned it might be a bit of an issue persuading him to agree to anything,” Jones said to Give Me Sport.
“So, Guerreiro is definitely one that Leeds should look at unfolding before they then look at other options.”

There is a good chance that Guerreiro won’t fancy a move to somebody potentially fighting Premier League survival when he has a comfortable place at Borussia Dortmund.
But the Bundesliga side is ready to move on from him now so he may be forced to make a move regardless to ensure he remains playing on a regular basis.
If he has any hope of being in the Portugal squad for Euro 2024, he may have to consider a move to Elland Road where he might not be playing Champions League football but he will at least be playing.
Victor Orta could do with reminding him of that fact if and when they go back into negotiations over a January move, especially if Dortmund are convinced that he won’t be in their long-term plans.
He’s the perfect left-back for Jesse Marsch too with a lot of attacking talent and the athleticism that is required to keep up with his gung-ho style of play that he is adamant he will keep.
In other Leeds United news, a deal is being finalised for this experienced campaigner to finally leave Thorp Arch and head to an up-and-coming league in the Americas.
