Leeds United complicate Sporting Lisbon move for Viktor Gyokeres
Leeds United along with a host of Premier League and Championship clubs have “complicated” Sporting Lisbon’s move for Viktor Gyokeres, according to A Bola.
According to talkSPORT, Coventry City currently valued the Swedish hitman at around £25million. It’s believed Wolves, West Ham and Everton are also interested.
Sporting Lisbon have emerged as contenders for the 25-year-old in recent weeks, however, it’s understood UK interest has made life harder for the Primeira Liga side (A Bola, 10 June).

Realistic?
Is a move for Gyokeres realistic? The striker is probably keen to make a move to a Premier League club after shining in the Championship last season. He’s mobile, physical and knows where the back of the net is – there’s a lot to like about the striker.
If Leeds were still in the top flight, this is a move which could well have happened. For now, with the 49ers yet to really get going in the market, it’s a move which is fairly unlikely.

A new striker should be on the agenda. Rodrigo is likely to depart during the summer, with the Spaniard probably one of the highest earners. Georginio Rutter also faces an uncertain future. The Frenchman has made a minimal impression after making a club-record switch in January.
Proven second-tier quality is required. However – before Leeds’ transfer activity can take place – a new sporting director and manager have to be the priority.
In other Leeds United news, a 40-year-old from a rival club is seen as a “serious contender” to take over as manager.
