Leeds United complete documents to announce Crysencio Summerville contract, signed until 2026

Leeds United have completed the documents to announce a new deal for Crysencio Summerville, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The reliable journalist has reported that everything is now signed off and the announcement is coming “very soon” with the Dutch speedster sticking around until 2026.

On top of that, Sam Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt are set to put pen-to-paper on new contracts in the very near future too as Leeds make their moves to keep their best talents.

Writing on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday morning [02 August], Romano shared the latest behind the new deals coming our way at Elland Road.

“Documents completed for Crysencio Summerville to announce new deal with Leeds very soon,” he wrote.

“He’s staying until June 2026, as already revealed yesterday.

“Sam Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt new contracts are also set to be signed soon.”

This is perfect news for everyone involved with the club.

Flashback to January and it was looking more and more likely that Summerville would be leaving on loan and potentially even permanently despite his talent.

The jet-heeled winger wanted more playing time but Marcelo Bielsa couldn’t give it to him, with Jesse Marsch’s arrival clearly changing that now.

Summerville is set for another four years in West Yorkshire, and in that time, he will now want to become an established member of the starting XI in the Premier League.

He has all of the talent in the world to do that, but it is about applying himself correctly and making a real impact when called upon off the bench this season.

Gelhardt has done that, and now we are looking at the next cab off the block with this one, with Andrea Radrizzani needing a lot of praise for keeping these three around.
