Leeds United chief Andrea Radrizzani spotted at PSG

Leeds United majority owner Andrea Radrizzani has been spotted at PSG potentially re-igniting takeover talk, as shared by Leeds Live.

PSG’s chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is good friends with Radrizzani and was linked with a potential takeover of the club in 2020 and sightings of the Italian could spark those rumours again [90min].

Of course, the San Francisco 49ers are also minority shareholders, and they are worth over £3billion so there is plenty of money in and around the Whites already, but Radrizzani’s little trip could lead to some more speculation [Biz Journals].

What was Radrizzani doing at PSG?

Now, the Italian is well known to be close with PSG’s chairman Al-Khelaïfi, so he could have been just visiting.

However, given that the prolonged takeover of Newcastle United went through recently, you could argue that it is a bit coincidental that Radrizzani makes a trip to see PSG just as the Toon become the richest club in the world.

Now, we don’t know why Radrizzani was at the PSG game, but we can imagine that the speculation over potential investment from Qatari Sports Investment might only increase after this sighting.

Remember, the Whites have big ambitions of their own and want to get back up towards the top of the Premier League, and this new-look Newcastle is a threat to that [Daily Mail].

So, it might be interesting to see if anything comes from Radrizzani’s visit to PSG last night. If not, then we can assume that it had nothing to do with getting more investment into Leeds.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites have banned a fan after an incident from earlier in the season.
