Leeds United: Charles De Ketelaere wages would be bigger at Elland Road as AC Milan details shared
Leeds United were willing to blow the offered wages by AC Milan out of the water to sign Charles De Ketelaere, according to James Marshment.
The TEAMtalk editor reported that the Club Brugges saga looks set to end soon with the striker set to get his dream move to the San Siro rather than Elland Road.
It is shared that De Ketelaere is set to earn only £36,000-per-week, which would add up to £1.87million each year, relatively low for how much AC Milan were said to want him.

Writing on his personal Twitter account on Thursday, Marshment shared the details of the wages as the move finally looks set to go through to Italy.
“Final one on this for me,” he wrote.
“Charles De Ketelaere has agreed a five-year deal at Milan worth £36k a week. Could have earned more at Leeds but convinced by Paolo Maldini and Stefano Pioli weeks ago.
“CL, and stature of Italian giants, an obvious lure.”
Lure.
We have seen all of the talks that the Premier League and the money may be enough to persuade De Ketelaere to make the move, but that hasn’t been the case at all.
Jesse Marsch admitted while in Australia that while the club is not walking away, other targets are being looked at, and now that needs to be progressed.
Wolves on the opening Premier League day of the season is approaching very quickly, and with nearly one week to go, we are looking very light.
Patrick Bamford hasn’t managed 90 minutes in pre-season as of yet, and Joe Gelhardt is another option, but another name is definitely needed.
De Ketelaere looks like he will definitely be heading the Milan now, and this sticking in the race appears to have stabbed us in the back, rather than benefitting us in the end.
Victor Orta and Andrea Radrizzani now need to put their foot on the gas.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites now want to sign this striker with a rival set to kickstart a major £30million+ transfer battle
