Leeds United, Celtic and Manchester United transfer news as James Wilson snubs move
Hearts sensation James Wilson has decided to snub a move to Leeds United this summer, according to the Daily Record on Saturday 29 April.
The newspaper has reported in its print edition [29 April, pg 56] that the young striker has instead penned a new two-year contract at Tynecastle to remain in Edinburgh for the time being.
Manchester United, Celtic and Rangers were just three of the other clubs in a long list who wanted to sign Wilson, who has stayed at his boyhood club.

They wrote: “Joe Savage insists the sky is the limit for James Wilson after the Hearts teenager turned down interest from bigger clubs to sign a new deal at Tynecastle.
“The Scotland under-16 international snubbed interest from Celtic, Rangers, Manchester United, Brighton and Leeds to put pen to paper on a two-year deal.”

Missed.
This isn’t the first player that Victor Orta has missed out on, although his team are still clearly working alongside the senior side to strengthen the academy even further.
Just looking at the long list of big clubs interested in the young striker, it is very clear that he has a huge future ahead of him and no doubt his name will pop up again in the future.
All this contract does is protect Hearts for the time being and his long-term value, but that won’t stop these Premier League clubs and the Old Firm from queuing up again down the line.
Leeds are in a shocking position in the Premier League right now with relegation a real possibility, so staying in the top flight has to be the priority right now.
Orta is under heavy scrutiny because of that, so even if Leeds do revisit this potential transfer in the future, it may be that the Spaniard has been replaced, it wouldn’t be a surprise.
This is certainly one to keep an eye on, though.
In other Leeds United news, a £100m+ transfer plan has already been put in place by the Whites in case of relegation
