Leeds United: Carlton Palmer in no doubt over Charlie Cresswell future
Leeds United starlet Charlie Cresswell has been turning heads at Thorp Arch but the Whites aren’t the only ones to notice his performances.
Cresswell has been targeted for a potential move by Championship high-flyers Norwich City, according to a report from journalist Alan Nixon, having been highly impressive for the Lions.
BBC pundit Carlton Palmer thinks the 20-year-old, who has scored three goals already for Millwall this season, is going nowhere despite the Canaries’ interest.

“All clubs are looking for good young players, you know, and Charlie’s doing brilliant at Millwall. He has really impressed,” Palmer said to Football League World.
“A lot of clubs are looking at him, but he’s very highly rated by Leeds United. Leeds have a strong squad. So, that’s why they’ve let him go out on loan.
“I have no doubt in my mind that Leeds will not be letting this young player go.”
Not a chance
There is absolutely no world in which Cresswell gets sold in the summer, to anybody let alone a side in the Championship where he will outgrow them in the blink of an eye.

Jesse Marsch should have his eyes set on the England youth international becoming a first-team regular next season to follow in the footsteps of Kalvin Phillips in graduating from the academy to the senior setup.
Whether he goes on to captain Leeds United as Phillips did is to be seen, of course, but unless he suffers some form of career-threatening injury, he will be a feature of Whites teams for years to come.
That’s why he has been allowed to leave the club on loan as he has gone beyond Under-21s football at Thorp Arch and needed a proper challenge, which he is currently rising to at The Den.
Dean Smith and Norwich can get their heads out of the clouds and start acting reasonable now or they will find themselves in a very sudden decline.
In other Leeds United news, Elia Caprile left Elland Road in the summer and the Whites may be reaping the rewards down the line.
