Leeds United can offer Rangers winger Ryan Kent a bumper salary in order to seal a move this week, according to Football Scotland.

It comes after the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday (30 August) that the Whites were weighing up a late move for the attacker before the window slams shut in less than 48 hours.

Kent is currently in the final year of his contract at Ibrox, leaving Rangers with a big decision to make in the next couple of days with the Premier League calling.

Jesse Marsch could hand Kent the chance to prove himself in the Premier League after he left Liverpool to move up north all those years ago.

Despite that though, Rangers do have the carrot of Champions League football to offer the winger.

With big games coming up against the likes of Liverpool, Ajax and Napoli, the Englishman may stick around until January before making a decision.

One Last Push?

David Ornstein has recently reported that Leeds don’t have the finances to make another permanent transfer this week, so it would maybe have to be a loan move.

There is no chance that the Scottish giants would consider that for their best player, so Victor Orta may have to stop dreaming and move on to other targets.

Kent is one of those names who will always be linked with a move to Elland Road, like Adama Traore, but with his contract running out quickly, there is substance to this.

It would likely take an exit to make this plausible though, and with talks surrounding Dan James intensifying each day, it can’t be written off completely.

We don’t want anyone leaving at this stage of the window, even if that means someone like Kent could come in, there is no need – unless we can bring in that perfect number nine everyone is crying out for.
