Leeds United v Bristol City preview: Team news, lineups, supercomputer prediction
Leeds United host Bristol City at Elland Road in the Championship on Monday.
The Elland Road club clinched promotion back to the Premier League thanks to their 6-0 win over Stoke on Monday, coupled with Burnley beating Sheffield United 2-1.
Daniel Farke’s men are still vying to win the Championship title, and sit level on points with second-place Burnley with just two games left to play.
Meanwhile, Bristol City sit fifth in the second tier and are hoping to finish in the playoffs for the first time since winning promotion from League One in 2015, but were beaten by relegation candidates Luton last time out.

Leeds v Bristol City preview
The pressure could be on both Leeds and Bristol City by Monday, as their clash is the last Championship fixture this weekend.
Championship table (Top seven) | Games played | Goal difference | Points |
1 Leeds | 44 | 60 | 94 |
2 Burnley | 44 | 46 | 94 |
3 Sheffield Utd | 44 | 25 | 86 |
4 Sunderland | 44 | 17 | 76 |
5 Bristol City | 44 | 8 | 67 |
6 Coventry | 44 | 5 | 66 |
7 Middlesbrough | 44 | 10 | 63 |
If Burnley beat Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, the Clarets will overtake Farke’s men and lead the title race at least temporarily.
Meanwhile, Bristol City could hold just a one-point cushion between themselves and the playoff chasing pack if both Millwall and Middlesbrough win on Saturday.
The Whites should head into their clash with the Robins full of confidence after hammering Stoke 6-0 last time out.
But while Farke’s men could take another huge step towards the Championship title, a chance to compete for a spot in next season’s Premier League is still at stake for Liam Manning’s side, who look set to give the West Yorkshire giants a good game.
Meanwhile, Leeds have responded to suggestions that Farke could be facing the sack despite winning promotion, revealing that 49ers Enterprises were instead in managerial talks regarding the Rangers vacancy.
Team news
Whites talisman, Dan James, missed out on the action as Farke’s side thrashed Stoke on Monday thanks to a hamstring issue, and could be a doubt for his side’s encounter with Bristol City.
Joe Rothwell and Pascal Struijk are both nursing injuries, while the man on loan from Bournemouth has not featured since the 2-2 draw with Swansea on 29 March.
Meanwhile, the Robins are set to be without key man Mark Sykes, who has suffered a season-ending injury.
Ayman Benarous and Cameron Pring will also miss out on the action for Manning’s men at Elland Road on Monday.
