Leeds United: ‘Brilliant’ Dan James verdict shared on BBC
Nathan Blake has been wowed by Leeds United ace Dan James after what he did in the Wales victory over Finland on Thursday (21 March).
Speaking on BBC Radio Wales on Thursday (via BBC Sport), the pundit said it was “brilliant composure” from the 26-year-old as he came off the bench to add the fourth goal for Wales in their European Championships playoff game.
He added that the winger deserved his goal as a reward for putting a Finnish defender under pressure before gaining possession and supplying a cool finish in his country’s 4-1 win in Cardiff.
“Let the party begin,” said Blake. “Brilliant composure from Dan James, he deserved that for the pressure he put the defender under. As cool as you like.”
Leeds United winger Dan James on fire
It was another game where James showed just how confident he is in front of goal at this moment in time after getting on the scoresheet shortly after coming off the bench.
It was tireless work from the winger as he closed down the Finland defender and won the ball back before going on to round the keeper and slot the ball home.
He’s really shown a cutting edge to his game this season, having scored 12 goals and laid on seven assists for Daniel Farke’s side.

That has translated into good performances for the national team, too, and he will be hoping that cameo could potentially earn him a start in Wales’ next match.
The Whites will be hoping he – alongside his fellow teammates away with the Welsh squad – can pick up another victory when they face Poland on 26 March as that should provide them with even more confidence on their return to Elland Road.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are ready to sell a midfielder for £10.3million after what he told the media.
