Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch slams Wolves over ‘very bad strategic decision’
Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch has declared that Wolves made a “very bad strategic decision” with where the away fans are situated within Molineux.
The Whites sparked their Premier League survival fight with an emphatic 3-2 comeback away at Wolves with the American claiming the “emotion” from the away fans made the difference.
Of course, Raul Jimenez’ sending off helped aid the turn in the result but the former RB Leipzig boss hailed the fans for the part they played.

“When we were at Wolves it was lights out,” Marsch told the BBC via Birmingham Live.
“I think Wolves have made a very bad strategic decision to put the away fans all the way along the side of the field.
“I think maybe the away fans don’t always fill it, but our supporters were there with their emotion and power and when it was 3-2 we felt that.”
Catalyst
That might be remembered as one of the key games that will inevitably ensure Leeds’ survival.
They looked down and out at halftime with the second half potentially getting embarrassing with the way Bruno Lage’s side was clinical with their finishing.
Raul Jimenez will go down as a cult hero for the club because it was his sending off that sparked the emphatic comeback which completely changed the mood at the club.

Losing that game would have kept Marsch’s men firmly in the relegation dogfight but stealing all three points gave them a crucial lifeline and one that they seem to have made the most of.
Make no mistake there is still a long way to go but the mood around the club has been very positive and the Whites supporters are slowly but surely breathing a sigh of relief.
The team won’t be though. They know the job isn’t yet complete and the American boss will ensure they fight right until the end of the season.
In other Leeds United news, Marsch is “dreaming big” as Leeds’ manager.
