Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch represents club at San Francisco 49ers minicamp
Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch has been “representing” the Elland Road club on a visit to the San Francisco 49ers mini camp.
Representatives of the Whites are in the US currently, reportedly looking at New York City FC striker Valentin Castellanos and another unnamed player [90min].
But the team’s American manager took time out to visit the other side of the country and drop in on the outfit who are already major investors in United.
In a clip posted on the 49ers Twitter page Marsch is seen speaking to players, coaches and general manager John Lynch.
The California-based franchise wrote: “Marching on together.
“Great to have Jesse Marsch representing LUFC at our recent minicamp.”

The relationship between the two teams is only going to grow as the American side’s investment arm 49ers Enterprises is predicted to push for their takeover of the club to go ahead this summer [Telegraph].
They are thought to be ready to make more money available for transfers than the current Andrea Radrizzani ownership, which will be the main thing that fans are worried about.
The sooner that comes the better as there are a number of potentially expensive considerations for the club in the coming months.

One of those appears to be the mooted signing of NYCFC man Castellanos, who 90min reported earlier Friday [10 June] was not going to be let go for cheap and who there has not been a suitable bid for yet despite “intense interest” headed by the Whites.
If it is possible to keep hold of star midfielder Kalvin Phillips, additional financial muscle to put into a new contract would be very useful.
Marsch has spoken about how being American has proven unpopular with some in his time at the club, but the links continue to increase with the signing of Brenden Aaronson and the search for further signings on the other side of the Atlantic.
And if the Americanisation can help push the Whites away from a relegation battle and back to former glories it should help any of those difficulties melt away.
In other Leeds United news, the contents of one first-team star’s contract has been said to include bonuses that will cost the club millions if he is sold this summer amid heavy interest.
