Leeds United better off without Junior Firpo v West Ham United – Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson has claimed Junior Firpo’s red card against Newcastle United is a good thing for Leeds United ahead of their Premier League clash against West Ham.
Sam Allardyce’s side head to the London Stadium looking to give themselves hope of survival heading into the final day of the season.
Firpo was given his marching orders late on against the Magpies and Robinson doesn’t think that’s the worst outcome.

“Firpo was the most guilty of it [rash tackles],” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“He was on a one-man self-destruct mission the whole game. He was lucky to stay on the pitch after the first tackle that he was yellow-carded for, then he gave away the penalty and then the free kick just outside the back.
“There has to be a level of professionalism, there was no kind of composure. Wober’s tackle, as a one-off, you can kind of half excuse it because he doesn’t do that week in and week out.

“Firpo regularly does it and the whole game against Newcastle, he couldn’t stay on his feet, he missed timed challenges.
“The only good thing for Leeds is he’s suspended against West Ham so he can’t play.”
Firpo will be available again for the Whites’ final-day clash against Tottenham at Elland Road on Sunday 28 May.
In other Leeds United news, a big-money flop has finally scored his first goal in Whites colours at long, long last.
