Leeds United away kit set for drastic change, Mark Viduka in media release

Leeds United have the summer to prepare for life in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke’s attention will be on the squad, making sure the right additions are made to put his side in a strong place to compete for survival.

However, those in the boardroom at Elland Road also need to look at how they can ensure maximum revenue going forward, in the hope of keeping Leeds in a sustainable PSR position.

A key moment in the calendar for supporters is always the release of the new kits, and Mark Viduka is set to be a part of the announcement for the new season’s threads.

Leeds to change away kit for Premier League

As Leeds prepare for life in the Premier League once more, the mood at Elland Road is high.

The Whites have a rich club history and will feel as though they are back where they belong, but the 49ers will be hoping Farke can back that up on the pitch.

With that in mind, the West Yorkshire outfit plans to dip into their history for the upcoming season, although that will signal a change from the 2024/25 campaign.

Although the yellow away shirt was loved by supporters, selling out within no time, Leeds are changing their colours for the road.

According to Graham Smyth in the Yorkshire Evening Post (5 June), Leeds will wear blue as Adidas have taken inspiration from the 2001 to 2003 shirt that was worn in the Premier League.

That retro shirt was worn by Pascal Struijk during the promotion celebrations, highlighting the history associated.

The report also states that the media release work is being done with greats who played in the original shirt being included in the promo.

Mark Viduka, Michael Bridges, Ian Harte, Gary Kelly and Nigel Martyn are all set to feature in the launch video.

The shirt could then be debuted in time for the pre-season friendlies against Manchester United, Villareal and AC Milan.

Leeds won promotion as champions this season.

However, it will mean nothing if the 49ers don’t show Farke the necessary support this summer to strengthen his side.

The boss is in need of Premier League experience in his squad, with the likes of Jamie Vardy and Callum Wilson being linked with moves to Elland Road.

It’s time to keep Leeds at the very top.
