Leeds United attacker Luis Sinisterra spotted wearing protective equipment due to injury
Leeds United attacker Luis Sinisterra has shared an update on Instagram in which he’s seen wearing protective equipment on his right leg.
The Colombia international picked up an injury in the 3-2 defeat against Fulham at Elland Road in October and has been ruled out of action since then.
After making his debut, Sinisterra was eased into the side by Jesse Marsch and was soon handed a fixed spot on the right flank.
Via injury expert Ben Dinnery, Sinisterra should be back in time for the game against Manchester City on 28 December after the World Cup break.
Hope he’s back soon
As Colombia did not qualify for the World Cup, Sinisterra will not regret being injured during this break and can focus on his recovery.
Had he watched his compatriots from a hotel room while they were playing in Qatar, it certainly would have annoyed him.
Hopefully, he’s taking it easy and will use these next few weeks to relax before he rejoins training and prepares to be fit for the Manchester City clash.
He has hit the ground running at Elland Road and is the undisputed option at number 10, as things stand.
Crysencio Summerville’s form means that it’s hard to drop him and if Sinisterra is fully fit, Jack Harrison may be the one sitting out.
Leeds appear to be backing Jesse Marsch after impressive results against Liverpool and Bournemouth and we’re waiting to see how they show up for the second half of the season.
