Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville still on HSV shortlist after Bielsa sacking

HSV are reportedly still keen on signing Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville after a failed January pursuit.

According to German media outlet Mopo, the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa and arrival of Jesse Marsch has not changed the club’s interest in signing the player.

He is yet to play a minute of Premier League football since mid December and is being eyed as an alternative to Aaron Opoku.

Loan him out?

Summerville has immense potential but he seems like he’s not ready for the Leeds first team.

He was handed a chance under Bielsa and while he showed promise, he was a grade below some of the attackers at the club.

Ideally, a loan move in the summer could be beneficial for the Dutchman.

He is at that stage in his career where he should be playing week in and week out.

While the Premier League is an extremely competitive and taxing league, the second division of the Bundesliga is certainly is an easier league for Summerville to play in.

The defences there will not be as tight as the ones in the Premier League and he will have plenty of room to manoeuvre and become one of the division’s best attackers.

The 20-year-old has been labelled “electric” by LeedsLive reporter Joe Donnohue and could be a phenomenal revelation for HSV.

We’re hoping that this loan move goes through in the summer as his career is stagnating at Elland Road.

In other Leeds United news, a first-team regular has turned down a new Elland Road contract and will sign it only under one condition.
