Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville news rubbished after injury scare this week
Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville reportedly took part in training on Tuesday, 6 December, despite an injury scare on Monday.
A report was carried that claimed the Dutchman missed training, but that has now been clarified by Graham Smyth of the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Summerville suffered a scare when Marc Roca’s tackle left him lying on the floor for minutes, but that was a minor knock and the 21-year-old is back again.
Via Twitter, Smyth wrote, “No, he sat out the final minutes of yesterday’s session. He trained fine today.”
Good news
It’s never good to see players lying on the floor for minutes as that means that they’re not able to get up without additional medical help.
However, despite not training for the remainder of Monday’s session, Summerville was here from the start and that’ll be good news.
An injury crisis is never far away at Elland Road and Jesse Marsch is learning that the hard way with no domestic football going on.
Players are picking up training injuries and then being ruled out for days and weeks and he knows that it’s important to sign new names in January.
Hopefully, Luis Sinisterra and Patrick Bamford also are back in action soon as Leeds do not look any closer to signing a new striker.
Thankfully, Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson did not get injured at the World Cup so they should be joining the side in the due course.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are now scouting an attacker at the World Cup and a January move appears to be on the cards for them.
