He was tipped to make his first-team breakthrough from last season itself and finally got his chance under Marcelo Bielsa.
However, it was apparent after his first few games that he’s not quite ready to handle first-team responsibilities.
Selling him for such a lower transfer fee makes little to no sense and we would avoid it all costs.
Ideally, he should be loaned out after signing a new deal as he’s got bags of potential.
After a couple of years, he may prove to be as good as Jack Harrison and would be a good option for whoever the manager is then.
Currently, Jesse Marsch does not seem to rate him and has not even handed him a single Premier League minute.
In fact, mid-December was the last time he was seen in the top flight which only suggests how low down on the pecking order he is at Elland Road and a change of environment is required for him.
