Leeds United are not interested in signing Jens Cajuste
A source close to Jens Cajuste has told LUFCFANZONE that “the player does have serious interest from the Premier League, but not from Leeds United”.
Cajuste was linked with a move to Elland Road by Expressen, but it appears as if the 21-year-old is a name that Leeds fans can cross off their list. The Swedish international is a central midfielder and will apparently cost in the region of £12million, but the Whites are not one of the Premier League clubs looking at Cajuste.
Leeds arguably do need another central midfielder, and Cajuste wouldn’t have cost that much, but for now, the 21-year-old is not a target.
Should Leeds sign Cajuste?
The Swedish international has five caps for his country and impressed last season for Midtjylland in the Danish league, and he played against Liverpool at Anfield during the Champions League group stages.
His side are in the qualifying rounds of this season’s competition too, drawing their first-leg tie with Celtic 1-1 on Tuesday night, though Cajuste did not play.

He has been described as “excellent” by Football Talent Scout and could really add something to this Leeds side.
The fact he is 21 is a bonus. He has plenty of time to improve as a player and given Marcelo Bielsa’s reputation for improving players, you would think he could come on leaps and bounds at Elland Road [Planet Football].
However, unless something drastic changes or another Premier League club doesn’t come in for Cajuste, it appears as if the 21-year-old will not be moving to Elland Road, which is a shame.
Of course, this source could prove wrong, but if they aren’t, then Cajuste doesn’t appear as if he will become a Leeds player.
The Whites are very close to securing the signature of Lewis Bate, who is also a central midfielder and perhaps Bielsa intends to use him in the first team?
If this were the case, then it would make sense why Leeds aren’t in for Cajuste.
However, if not, we have to question why Victor Orta is not all over this deal.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are set sign an English midfielder after he agreed personal terms.
