Leeds United are keen to tick off another piece of business in the coming weeks to follow Brenden Aaronson’s imminent arrival

Leeds United are keen to add to the imminent arrival of Brenden Aaronson with another signing in the coming weeks, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth.

It was revealed on Wednesday [25 May] by MLS insider Tom Bogert that Aaronson, 21, is set for his Leeds United medical on Thursday before heading on international duty with the United States.

However, YEP journalist Smyth has revealed on Wednesday [25 May] that Leeds are keen for another signing to follow Aaronson through the door at Elland Road.

Smyth wrote: “Leeds are hoping that once their first summer signing is done and dusted they can tick off at least one other bit of business in the next few weeks and get off to a quick start in the transfer window, with Victor Orta working on a number of potential signings.”

Exciting times for Leeds

It has been a whirlwind few weeks for Leeds and Jesse Marsch.

At no point last week, when their Premier League future was up in the air did they think they would be able to entice an American international to Elland Road.

Securing their Premier League status has given Marsch a clear idea of the recruitment processes he wants to implement and the type of player he wants in his squad.

Marsch can start to think about Leeds thriving as opposed to merely surviving in the Premier League.

Since he has come to the club, all that has mattered is maintaining their top-flight status.

Style of play, recruitment, formations and selection of players were all secondary concerns.

Staying up was the primary and only focus.

Leeds will be looking to invest heavily this summer in order to prevent a repeat of the issues they have faced this season.

After avoiding the dreaded second season syndrome, the Whites can start to build towards being a successful and established Premier League club.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites want to sign this defender as well as Aaronson with his transfer value soaring.
