Leeds United approve Marc Roca loan exit as ‘no cost’ Real Betis agreement emerges
Marc Roca’s Leeds United exit is now “imminent” as Real Betis close in on a move for the midfielder, according to Mundo Deportivo.
It’s believed the Whites have approved the 26-year-old’s departure and that Roca will spend the 2023/24 season on loan at Manuel Pellegrini’s side (Mundo Deportivo, 12 June).
Roca’s main priority was to depart Leeds this summer and return to Spain to compete with a side that is participating in Europe.

It’s understood the loan will have no cost for Betis. Leeds signed Roca for £10million last summer.
Move on Marc
He was brought to Leeds to play in the Premier League. He clearly doesn’t have what it takes to be part of a promotion-winning side in the second tier.
The Spaniard is neat and tidy, but that’s about it. He doesn’t want to be slugging it out on a cold and dark Tuesday night down at Plymouth, or in the heat of battle against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough. Leeds need leaders and fighters; Roca isn’t one.

The 26-year-old would be much better off out on loan and out of sight. If Leeds can return to the top flight, they can look to offload the Spaniard at a later date, for profit.
A decision has to be made soon when it comes to Leeds’ managerial pursuit. The 49ers are now in charge and the sooner they make a decision in the dugout the better.
The longer Leeds leave this, the greater impact it will have on their promotion ambitions.
