Leeds United: Andrea Radrizzani speaks out as £882m takeover rumours emerge
Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has spoken out about the rumours linking him with a potential takeover of Inter Milan.
According to a Bloomberg report, the Leeds man is considering a €1billion (£882m) takeover of the Italian giants.
Radrizzani’s Aser Ventures is, however, said to have competition in the bid to acquire the Serie A outfit.

“Which team did I support as a child? It is not said, because maybe then I’ll come to Italy…” Radrizzani said on DAZN Italia radio. “Honestly, things have changed, I’m no longer a fan.
“Investing in Italy? Italy attracts me and scares me, because every time I come to do something in Italy I find it much more difficult than abroad. Let’s see.”
Mixed feelings
Radrizzani has hit the headlines plenty of times from his very first involvement with Leeds long ago, with the Italian now reportedly seeking a new challenge back in the nation of his birth.
It comes amid the anticipated sale of Premier League outfits Leeds to San Francisco-based entity 49ers Enterprises, but the status of the club in the top flight is, of course, having a say in these background negotiations.
Like Leeds, Inter have certainly had their difficulties behind the scenes in recent years, but given their profile and their performances in recent seasons, a takeover definitely makes sense.
The Italian outfit recently lifted the Serie A trophy and are going strong in this season’s Champions League, with a place in the last four of the competition almost secured.
However, as noted by Radrizzani, investing in an Italian football club is not a straightforward process, with various clubs getting into difficulty with authorities in recent times, namely Juventus this season.
But the businessman looks certain to need a new venture given the impending takeover of Leeds, which could be completed in the very near future.
In other Leeds United news, Chris Sutton has predicted the result of the upcoming Premier League meeting with Liverpool on Monday (17 April).
