Andrea Radrizzani has confirmed the news that Leeds United will be signing Marseille striker Bamba Dieng before the transfer deadline slams shut.

The Leeds owner also shared that work is still continuing to sign PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo today, with the potential for it to be pushed back to January.

Radrizzani offered his best welcome to Dieng and urged fans to get behind the new project at Elland Road that Jesse Marsch is currently spearheading.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Radrizzani confirmed the news that an agreement had been put in place for Dieng and offered his support.

“Agreed,” he wrote.

“Let’s welcome Bamba Dieng and we will continue to work on Gapko. Now it s time to focus on the pitch and support our new project and the great job Jesse and the staff are doing.”

Here We Go.

So, with this news, we can all sit back and relax regarding the deal with Dieng.

The interesting news here is that Radrizzani confirmed that a push is still being made for Gakpo, with the PSV Eindhoven man one of the most courted players throughout the Premier League.

With Dan James expected to be moving on to Fulham later today, that opens a space for another winger.

Imagine having three options of Jack Harrison, Luis Sinisterra and Gakpo would be huge, and Radrizzani would certainly have no critics trying to stomp his door down if that happened.

It looked as though a move for Gakpo was completely done despite a record bid being tabled this morning (01 September) – it was rejected and batted away.

But, that doesn’t look to have deterred the Whites, and we could have another scenario of “don’t go to bed just yet” coming to us later on ahead of the deadline.
