Fabrizio Romano: Leeds United and Weston Mckennie transfer talks progress with key details
Fabrizio Romano has shared that Leeds United and Weston McKennie talks are progressing well with both the Whites and Juventus now discussing key details.
The transfer guru is reporting that the deal is not yet done but McKennie has given the green light from his side which is evidently helping matters.
McKennie would be Leeds United’s third transfer signing in the January window as Jesse Marsch, Victor Orta and co look to bolster the Whites squad.
“Understand talks between Leeds and Juventus for Weston McKennie are now progressing well,” said Romano on Twitter. (26 January, 7:32 PM)
“Parties are discussing key details, not done deal yet — after green light on player side.
“Negotiations will continue in the next hours.”

Here we go?
The positive update from Romano suggests a deal is very close to being completed and it just goes to show the kind of pulling power Leeds United currently have.
McKennie will be a fantastic addition to Marsch’s squad and his invaluable experience playing in competitions like the UEFA Champions League and FIFA World Cup will go down a treat.
The only stumbling block in negotiations at the moment seem to be the price Leeds United are willing to pay Juventus for the midfield maestro.
With deadline day fast approaching this is always going to be something that halts and stutters deals and should be no real concern for fans in this transfer saga.
As Romano highlighted, McKennie wants the move to Elland Road and by him giving the green light, a deal should be signed and sealed within days.
With luck, the West Yorkshire faithful will get to see McKennie in action when Premier League action resumes on 5 February against Nottingham Forest.
