Leeds United and Red Bull may be destined to intertwine again in football soap opera

Leeds United and Red Bull may be destined to intertwine yet again in the near future in one of football’s ongoing soap operas, according to Daniel Storey.

The reliable journalist expects the answer to appear very quickly with a twist between the two parties never too far away it seems with players and managers sharing the same paths.

Add to that their rumoured takeover attempt years ago and the court case over Jean-Kevin Augustin is expected to come to an end very soon this summer.

Writing in his latest column for i News, Storey questioned whether Leeds and Red Bull may come together yet again in the near future.

“Are Leeds United and Red Bull destined to intertwine with one another in football’s soap opera – rumoured £60m takeover, court case over Jean-Kevin Augustin, players and managers sharing history?” he wrote.

“The obvious answer is that we will find out very quickly, but it makes Leeds arguably the most fascinating Premier League club of all this summer.”

Leeds

Soap Opera.

With Marsch at the helm and Rasmus Kristensen, Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson all joining this summer, it is hard to escape the Red Bull tag.

Leeds aren’t necessarily on the best of terms with them though given the JKA drama, and could still owe them just below £20million depending on the findings of CAS.

Andrea Radrizzani is a smart businessman and the rumours of the takeover those years ago may have looked like a smart decision at the time, but there was likely a reason behind it not happening.

Victor Orta is much more on the same page with Marsch than he was with Marcelo Bielsa too, so backing the manager with players that he knows and has a past with is a direct result of that.

There is never going to be an end to this somewhat relationship, it will always be bubbling away in the background, even after the Augustin saga is closed in court – hopefully, sooner rather than later.
