Leeds United and Manchester United involved in a ticket row ahead of Elland Road clash
Leeds United and Manchester United are embroiled in a ticket row ahead of next month’s clash at Elland Road, according to Sportsmail.
The Whites are offering their bitter rivals around 2,565 tickets instead of 3000 as expected in line with the guidelines, and they have also indicated that they would not be offering discounts for seniors.
Both issues have been escalated to the Premier League ahead of the February 20 meeting between both teams, with a television studio Leeds installed in the away section before Christmas the cause for the reduced capacity.

They have since been told by the authorities that visiting fans must take priority, and are now removing the studio at a cost of around £50,000, with broadcasters conducting operations either at pitch-side or elsewhere.
No love
The Red Devils – three-time Champions League winners – and the Whites are not the best of friends, and it does not appear that relationship will be mended anytime soon.
The recent ticket row is not likely to ease the animosity that has existed between them for decades, and both set of fans made that clear after a small number of them fought in the streets of Manchester ahead of their game last August.
Nevertheless, Leeds have to do better and ensure they are handing out the stipulated amount of away tickets to the opposition.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side suffered a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Man Utd at Old Trafford on the opening day of 2021-22, and they will be keen to get revenge next month.
The Red Devils ran out 6-2 winners at their ground last season before Leeds held them to a goalless draw at Elland Road in the return fixture.
The west Yorkshire outfit have won their last two league games and will be keen to maintain momentum.
They face Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Everton before playing Man Utd, and picking up some points will help boost their top-ten chances.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites want to sign int’l striker on loan with move already made.
