Fabrizio Romano: Leeds United and Luton Town have signed agreements for Cody Drameh transfer
Fabrizio Romano has shared that Leeds United and Luton Town have signed all the contracts for the proposed loan of Cody Drameh in January.
The transfer guru reports that the loan deal involving Drameh will be announced on January 26 and his switch to the Championship will be completed.
Drameh has failed to secure a spot under Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch this campaign despite fans’ wishes for the youngster to play more of a role in the first team.
“Leeds and Luton Town have signed all the contracts for Cody Drameh deal,” said Romano on Twitter. (26 January, 4:22 PM)
“Loan completed, signed also on player side. Official statement to follow during the afternoon.”

We’ll take that.
Absolutely no one wanted to see Drameh leave the club this season but the fact this transfer is only on loan means he still may have a future at Elland Road.
It’s unclear as to why Marsch has chosen against using Drameh, especially after how well he played in the Championship for Cardiff City last season.
Nevertheless, it’s become fairly clear to fans that the youngster is surplus to requirements for the American and annoyingly he will be leaving on loan.
However, with Marsch’s future at Elland Road far from a certainty, Drameh could still well have a chance to return to West Yorkshire and feature for this club at some point.
He’s an extremely top talent and letting him leave on a permanent transfer would have been a foolish move from the Leeds United hierarchy.
Hopefully, another spell in the Championship will prove to Leeds United that he’s worth keeping on the team’s books for future campaigns ahead.
