Leeds United and Liverpool send scouts to track Birmingham City ace George Hall

Leeds United and Liverpool scouts were reportedly in attendance on Saturday, 1 April, as they took in the performance of George Hall.

According to the Daily Mail [03 April], the 18-year-old was pivotal for the Championship outfit as they raced to a 1-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers on the weekend.

After the game, Birmingham boss John Eustace, labelled the young Englishman’s performance as “Awesome”.

Worth the hype?

It’s pretty evident that as Liverpool, a side that challenges for the Premier League and Champions League, is looking at him, there must be something special about him.

Players at that age tend to show whether or not they’re destined to have bright careers and Hall appears to be on that path.

Most of the other players in their teens are playing for the reserves or out on loan in the lower leagues, but the 18-year-old appears to be among the first names on the team sheet.

His stock is only getting higher and performances like the one over the weekend are hard to hide and interest in him is only expected to grow.

Even during the international break he grabbed a goal and assist in England Under-19s’ 2-0 win over Turkey so he’s undoubtedly one of the brightest young prospects in the country.

It won’t be too long before he’s seen in the Premier League and if Leeds act quickly they may be able to get their hands on this bright talent.

In other Leeds United news, a teenager now looks closer than ever after what he did at Thorp Arch during the international break with Javi Gracia taking note.
