Leeds agree deal for Michael Cuisance, could include large Bayern buy-back clause – report

Leeds United have agreed a fee with Bayern Munich to sign midfielder Michael Cuisance, according to The Athletic.

Phil Hay and David Ornstein have reported that the Whites will pay up to £20million for the French midfielder.

It is suggested that the deal will likely include a large buy-back clause for Bayern Munich, who still rate the 21-year-old very highly.

Leeds became increasingly determined to bring in another midfielder ever since Marcelo Bielsa confirmed another blow to Adam Forshaw last week.

It is claimed that Cuisance will play frequently at Elland Road, with Bielsa mentioned as a big factor in the move for the talented midfielder.

Cuisance could take the playmaker spot in midfield behind the striker, despite not being as attacking as the likes of Tyler Roberts and Rodrigo.

Fabrizio Romano reported that the Whites had agreed a five-year deal with Cuisance, which will see him in West Yorkshire until 2025.

This has moved quickly, with BILD only reporting that Munich had sanctioned his exit on Tuesday morning, something which sprung Leeds and Victor Orta into life.

Cuisance hasn’t featured much at Munich as expected since sealing a £9million move from Borussia Monchengladbach.

There were suggestions that Cuisance had a training ground bust-up with Robert Lewandowski this week, but the players themselves laughed that off along with claims of attitude problems.

Bielsa has got his man, and it appears that the Whites only need to sign a winger to give El Loco everything he wanted in this window.
