Leeds United ace Wilfried Gnonto ‘trying in every way’ to force Everton transfer
Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto is “trying in every way” to force through a move to Everton, according to Sportitalia.
The publication reported on its website on Saturday (12 August) that the winger does not want to play in the Championship and is pushing to join the Toffees.
The Whites, however, have no plans to go back on their decision that the youngster is not for sale this summer, Sportitalia added.

“Wilfried Gnonto doesn’t want to play in the Championship with Leeds and is trying in every way to force his move to Everton,” according to Sportitalia.
“The forward of the Italian national team is trying to force his transfer to return to the Premier League again, but at the moment the newly relegated club does not intend to take a step back from its position and believes Willy is not for sale.”

Worrying times
Gnonto started the new Championship campaign with 82 minutes under Daniel Farke in the opener against Cardiff City, but he hasn’t been in the squad since.
The Whites have defeated Shrewsbury Town and lost to Birmingham City in the League Cup and Championship respectively since that 2-2 draw with the Bluebirds.
The two absences are a real signifier that Gnonto is on his way out of Elland Road, but for now he remains a Leeds player.
It would be ideal if the club could resolve the issue immediately and persuade the exciting youngster to stay for another season, as he really could be key in helping them achieve promotion back to the Premier League.
But it seems that he doesn’t want to wait that long to get back to the top flight, with the talented teenager definitely deserving of a place in the Premier League. Whether the opportunity to do so comes at Everton or elsewhere, however, remains to be seen.
