Leeds United ace Wilfried Gnonto emerges as ‘number one target’ for Everton – Sky Sports
Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto is now Everton’s number one winger target after their signature of Jack Harrison from the Whites, according to Sky Sports.
The publication reported on its website on Monday (14 August) that the Toffees have identified the 19-year-old as their top priority for the wide attacking position.
Gnonto joined the West Yorkshire outfit from FC Zurich last summer and has made 29 appearances in all competitions for the club so far.

“Everton are still looking to sign Wilfried Gnonto this summer despite the arrival of Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds,” according to Sky Sports.
“Sean Dyche wants to add another winger to his squad and Gnonto remains Everton’s number one target.”

Exciting talent
Gnonto hasn’t been in English football for very long, but the teenager has shone when given the opportunity on the pitch.
Plenty of minutes arrived for the Whites in the early stages of last season under Jesse Marsch, but the youngster’s playing time quickly dried up upon the arrival of Javi Gracia in the Elland Road. It was then a similar story for Gnonto when Sam Allardyce took over in the Elland Road dugout.
Regular playing time looked certain to arrive under new boss Daniel Farke this season, but the young Italian has not featured since the opening day of the Championship campaign, seemingly in order to force through a move to Goodison Park.
The teenager would be walking into a strange situation on Merseyside, with his former Whites teammate and fellow winger Harrison having just joined the Toffees on loan, meaning the two could be fighting for a starting role should Gnonto follow him there.
In other Leeds United news, another hamstring injury at the Elland Road club has ruled out a youngster for weeks.
