Leeds United playmaker Pablo Hernandez has been pictured in training at Thorp Arch ahead of the Premier League clash with Chelsea.
Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that the Spaniard will miss the trip to Stamford Bridge with his continued muscular problem picked up over the international break.
The Whites veteran hasn’t featured since the 4-1 defeat against Leicester and was dropped from the squad after his reaction to being substituted at Elland Road.
Leeds released a video on their YouTube channel on Friday ahead of the trip to Chelsea, and Hernandez was included in one of the balance sessions.
The Spaniard has settled back in perfectly, and it appears as though his tantrum against Leicester has been left in the past.
Finally, some good news on the injury front.
It appeared as though Hernandez and Jamie Shackleton were both struggling with muscular problems heading into the Christmas period.
This clip could be the first major hint that Hernandez could be back involved for the clash against West Ham next week – although he wasn’t spotted out on the grass.
One worrying piece of news landed on Friday, and that was Football Insider claiming Robin Koch is a major doubt after missing days of training this week.
The German international wasn’t spotted in this training teaser, and neither was Diego Llorente – meaning it could be another big weekend for Pascal Struijk, who only appears to get chances against the best.
Bielsa did share that Llorente was ready if needed, but he would prefer for him to get some minutes with the under-23s first, which is a luxury he may not get this weekend.
