Leeds United ace Manor Solomon involved in amazing Israel moment v Belgium

Leeds United ace Manor Solomon believes Israel’s 1-0 victory over Belgium in the Nations League on Sunday was an “amazing result” and showed that something is “growing” within their national team.

The Tottenham loanee recently returned from injury after being sidelined for a few weeks, but he easily slotted into a more defensive left wing-back role for Israel on 17 November.

Speaking to Israeli outlet One News after the game (17 November), Solomon shared his thoughts on his country’s win.

“It’s an achievement with the national team – a victory like this over Belgium is very high. I am very proud of all of them without exception,” he said.

“We gave everything we have in the last two games. We sacrificed, we fought against very strong teams.

“We feel something amazing in this team, something that is growing, we really felt before the game that we could make an amazing result, we did it and we are happy.

“Against Belgium, we were equal, although they were more dominant, but we showed that we were equal and we got into situations, and I’m happy that we won in the end and I think we deserved it”.

Leeds United have a decision to make regarding the future of Manor Solomon

When Solomon first arrived at Elland Road, things were going swimmingly with Neil Redfearn even saying that the attacker was too good for the Championship.

Since his injury, however, things haven’t gone quite as smoothly and his performances for the Whites have often left a lot to be desired.

So much so that rumours have been shared about Leeds potentially terminating the Tottenham loanee’s West Yorkshire tenure early.

This feels fairly premature because even though he hasn’t played to the highest standards, without a valid option to come in and replace him, Farke would be a man down and, in the Championship promotion race, he’ll need all the firepower he can get.

His performance for Israel should have shown Leeds that there’s still a solid player within him and should have bought him some more time.

There’s no telling what the future holds for the attacker but if he doesn’t stay at Elland Road until the end of the season, the Whites could find themselves in some trouble.
