Leeds United ace Kalvin Phillips mocked on Instagram by Jack Grealish

Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips returned from a long injury layoff to play for the Whites in their 1-1 draw against Southampton yesterday.

The England international posted on his Instagram later that evening to thank those who had supported him during his time out but one player had other things on his mind.

That player was his international teammate Jack Grealish who warned the 26-year-old that he would unfollow him for another headline-making act he did this week.

“Good to see you back bro and if you ever wear them shoes and that outfit again I’m unfollowing you,” Grealish replied to Phillips’ post.

The Manchester City forward was referencing an image shared by Sport Bible, via Instagram, of Phillips’ casual fashion sense while out and about earlier this week.

Bright yellow and seemingly baggy shoes were the choice for the Leeds man and his England mate isn’t going to let him forget them either.

Wear what you like

If Phillips signs a new deal at Elland Road, he can wear whatever he likes around Leeds city centre.

Whether it be a tuxedo, skirt, mankini or skis he can do what he likes as long as he is performing at his best in LS11 week after week.

It’s refreshing to see players being able to take the mickey out of each other without it being abusive even if they don’t play for the same club.

Rivalries can sometimes go too far but thankfully for Leeds and Manchester City, they at least have one common enemy that they can hate together.

It’s wonderful for Jesse Marsch too to have his star midfielder back in action and he’ll be crossing every piece of his body that he remains clear of any more niggles this season.

A point against the Saints isn’t the dream result we wanted but it is far better than going home with none at all.

In other Leeds United news, Mateusz Klich has delighted Whites fans with an explicit response to hate on Twitter.
