Leeds United ‘aberration’ verdict drops ahead of Swansea City clash
David Prutton is backing Leeds United to beat Swansea City after recovering from their “aberration” at Millwall earlier this month.
The Whites entered the international break on the back of a 2-0 win over QPR, which followed a limp 1-0 reverse at The Den on November 6.
Next up on Saturday (23 November), Daniel Farke’s high-flyers take a trip to the Swansea Stadium and Sky Sports host and former Leeds midfielder Prutton tipped a 2-1 win when speaking on the Essential EFL podcast (21 November, 18:40).
He also said: “Listen Leeds (got) back to winning ways against QPR after that kind of aberration against Millwall. Swansea and Luke, again we spoke about Bristol City doing relatively well, Swansea find themselves 11th.
“I think it will be a tough old task for Leeds down there. There’s always a bit of bite to this game as well. I mean obviously Leeds tend to find enemies wherever they go. The significance of these two playing each other in the second tier, I think is one to keep an eye on. The atmosphere should be electric.”
Leeds United can get the job done
Leeds have had a bit of travel sickness in the Championship this season and have failed to win in their past four away fixtures in the second tier.
That’s obviously a concern for Farke as he tries to steer his side towards automatic promotion and the performance at Millwall left a lot to be desired there is no point beating around the particular bush.
Swansea are a tough side make no mistake about it. Most of their games are pretty turgid affairs and most are settled by a single goal or result in draws.

But Leeds have the quality to get the job done and the momentum of beating QPR prior to the international break should be enough to help them get over the line on Saturday.
If they don’t then Farke will really have to dig deep to figure out why his side are struggling to match their home performances on the road.
