Leeds United: £60.7m transfer update on Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville emerges

Leeds United duo Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville have been valued at a combined €71m (£60.78m), according to Football Observatory.

This season Leeds have tried their utmost to get promoted from the Championship at the first time of asking under Daniel Farke.

They have played at a high-level thanks to some superb performances from many players. From new signings like Ethan Ampadu to retained stars like Illian Mesiler, they have all shone.

Two of the most important stars have been youngsters Gray and Summerville who have been nothing short of sensational.

A report from Football Observatory has now put a value on the duo. The 18-year-old is said to be worth €33m (£28.25m) and the Dutchman comes in at €38m (£32.53m). This sees them valued at a combined £60.78m, a potentially spectacular return on investment.

How valuable are Gray and Summerville to Leeds United?

As a Leeds boy, Gray is already a fan favourite as a teenager which has only been helped by his excellent performances.

This has seen him feature across 40 appearances in midfield and at right back. He has scored one and assisted two while registering 1248 passes with an 83.9% accuracy [FotMob].

By comparison, Summerville is a 22-year-old talent who has become a cult hero after his performances this season. He signed for the club for £1.3m back in 2020 [The Sun], a great deal in hindsight.

Leeds announced via their official website in 2022 that he signed a new four-year deal which has proved to be a superb bit of business.

With 17 goals and eight assists in 39 appearances [FotMob], he has become one of the best players in the whole of the Championship.

Their impact as a duo on the Whites’ side this year has been superb. Combining with Georginio Rutter, Wilfried Gnonto and Dan James, there has been plenty of firepower to deal with.

They are two of Leeds’ most important players. There is no doubt that the fee demanded by Farke and Co. would be huge.

This would arguably provide funds to overhaul the squad should they be sold upon promotion to the Premier League.
