Leeds United: Fabrizio Romano shares Chelsea transfer update for Crysencio Summerville
Reporter Fabrizio Romano has said he is “not aware” of any contact between Chelsea and Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville at this stage.
The Holland youth international, who is 22 years old, has been a standout player for the Whites this season as they aim for promotion to the Premier League.
He has made 35 appearances in all competitions and has chipped in with 16 goals and nine assists.
In this latest update regarding his situation, Romano has said on his Daily Briefing (3 March) “One final point on Chelsea – despite rumours, I’m not aware of any contacts or negotiations over Crysencio Summerville at Leeds. Chelsea’s priority for the summer remains a central striker, but let’s see who else they look at.
“There are really many clubs following and monitoring Crysencio in the Premier League and other leagues, so let’s see if Chelsea decide to join them, but I’m not aware of anything concrete on this at the moment.”

Leeds did well to keep hold of Summerville last summer and then in January as well. He is a very talented player, especially in the Championship, and his form this term has helped the Whites rise into automatic promotion contention.
He is under contract at Elland Road until the summer of 2026 meaning his current club are under no pressure to cash in on him anytime soon unless an offer that they can’t refuse comes in for his services.
His immediate focus will be on helping Daniel Farke’s side go up as they battle it out at the top end of the second tier with Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton. They drew 1-1 away at Huddersfield Town this weekend and were frustrated after playing the whole second-half against 10 men.

You can see why Chelsea would potentially be keen on Summerville. He is young, has potential to grow and develop in the future and has been at the top of his game in this campaign.
