Leeds United: 49ers Enterprises now have no option but to move fast for Glen Kamara transfer as Tyler Adams news emerges
Chelsea are preparing to step up their interest to sign key Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams, and the 49ers Enterprises may have to move fast to secure his replacement in Glen Kamara.
According to The Athletic (7 June), the Blues are ready to make their move for the American international following reports that they had Adams on their transfer shortlist following their difficulties to sign Brighton star Moises Caicedo (The Times, 31 July).
The 24-year-old, has a relegation release clause in his contract, as previously reported by the Athletic’s Phil Hay, meaning that he is available for a fee of around £20m following the Whites’ relegation and Chelsea are well positioned to pounce for his services.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, on his Here We Go podcast (27 July), believes that there is a concrete chance Adams will leave Elland Road this summer and it is believed that the American international is prioritising a Premier League return, with not only Chelsea interested, but Nottingham Forest, West Ham and even Everton.
However, it seems as if the super-rich West London outfit are the favourites for his signature which means Leeds United are now set to lose yet another key individual this summer.

Following the departures of the likes of Rodrigo, Marc Roca, Max Wober, Brenden Aaronson, Max Wober, Rasmus Kristensen, the Whites’ reluctant exit stance on Adams is perfectly understandable, but it is abundantly clear, Adams is a level above the Championship and deserves another Premier League platform.
And it’s been said that Leeds United have already identified his replacement, a player the 49ers must have no option but to provide Daniel Farke with the cash to sign him and that man is wantaway Rangers midfield Kamara (Daily Mail, 7 August).
According to the report, Farke’s side are considering a move for the out-of-favour Finnish midfielder who has been training on his own at Ibrox as he looks for his next move.
In fact, the Whites have been reported as his most interested party for weeks now.
With Daniel Farke in desperate need of some midfield reinforcements this summer and Kamara’s availability in the market, this potential deal makes sense for all parties involved.

Leeds United fans should not see Kamara’s situation at Rangers as a marker for him not being good enough to lead the midfield engine room at Elland Road because the Finnish international could represent a marquee acquisition if Farke gets this done quickly.
The Whites’ first Championship game of the season against Cardiff City presented some mighty midfield issues for Farke to address ahead of the new campaign, and Kamara may well not be the only midfield signing Leeds have to make, but the Ibrox star represents the perfect start.
With an all-action play style that blends a touch of quality with defensive steel, all the attributes are in place for this experienced stalwart to become the destructive and influential defensive midfield presence the club have been longing for since Kalvin Phillips.

£20m for a Championship club is a lot of money, especially to reinvest and after the signings of Ethan Ampadu and Karl Darlow, Farke will be itching for more additions.
The Championship is certainly an unforgiving division, one which Leeds United right now, aren’t really fully prepared for. And following the latest Elland Road development regarding Adams’ uncertain future and Chelsea’s expected move, it may now be time for the 49ers to put their money where their mouth is.
Farke’s desperation should force their hand.
