Leeds United 49ers announcement mooted by Sky Sports pundit amid behind scenes ‘rumbling’ at Elland Road
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson believes it’s in everybody’s best interest for Leeds United to make the 49ers’ takeover plans public.
Andrea Radrizzani wasn’t present at Elland Road for Leeds’ vital final-day Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
Robinson feels that there’s “clearly” something rumbling on behind the scenes at Elland Road after the Italian’s no-show on Sunday.

“You can read between the lines [Radrizzani’s absence],” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“There were no programme notes as well. There’s a takeover that’s been mooted for a long time now and I think it’s in everyone’s best interest that it’s made public.
“There’s clearly something that’s rumbling on behind the scenes, but until you get the top of the club right, the stuff at the bottom will remain unsolved.

“Next season is going to be huge to get out of the Championship. At the moment there’s a dispute over who is going to own the club. There’s no sporting director or permanent manager. There’s also a squad that needs to be deconstructed and then constructed.
“Until the ownership is resolved, I don’t think things can move forward, so something sooner rather than later is in the best interest of everybody.”
Radrizzani is currently attempting to seal a deal for soon-to-be Serie B club Sampdoria.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites want to sign one 13-goal forward this summer after an impressive European season.
