Leeds United 49ers agreement delights Sky Sports pundit as ‘clear plan’ emerges at Elland Road
Paul Robinson has been left “delighted” after it was announced the 49ers had reached an agreement with Andrea Radrizzani for the sale of Leeds United.
The club announced on 9 June that the American Enterprises had reached an agreement for the sale of the club.
Robinson was pleased with the timing of the announcement after it emerged Radrizzani had attempted to leverage Elland Road in his bid to buy Sampdoria days before.

“I am delighted. It was always in the offing. It was going to happen for a very long time,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“The speed and the timing of it was what was needed really. The club can’t sort itself out on the playing side and the managerial until the ownership was sorted.
“We know the owners and we know what’s happened with the takeover.

“There needs to be a clear plan of action with the manager and sporting director. Just delighted with the timing really.”
The board are yet to conclude their search for a new manager, with Daniel Farke, Scott Parker and Steven Gerrard being linked with the job. Brendan Rodgers was also in contention but is now closing in on a return to Celtic.
The club are also on the lookout for a new sporting director and announced the appointment of Nick Hammond as football advisor on a short-term contract.
Norwich City’s former sporting director Stuart Webber remains a top target for Angus Kinnear and the board.
In other Leeds United news, the board have slapped a £17m price-tag on their star player.
