YEP journo shares unseen Joe Rodon moment at full-time in Leeds United 1-1 draw vs Coventry City
Graham Smyth has shared an unseen moment involving Leeds United centre-back Joe Rodon at full-time in the draw with Coventry City.
Frustrations boiled over after Saturday’s (16 December) contest at Elland Road, which finished 1-1 after Bobby Thomas cancelled out Crysencio Summerville’s opener.
A fracas broke out after Summerville turned down the offer of a handshake with Thomas, leading to the likes of Joel Latibeaudiere and Wilfried Gnonto piling in to try to calm things down.

Listing what various players were doing at the time of the scuffle breaking out, Smyth said in the Yorkshire Evening Post [17 December]: “Rodon and [Jake] Bidwell’s ex-Swansea reunion at full-time, while the madness was kicking off around them.”
Handbags
Coventry boss Mark Robins summed up the events at full-time nicely with one word: “Handbags”.
It was one of those things in which something so minor can spiral into something major, but thankfully that did not really happen.
Now that the dust has settled, Daniel Farke will be disappointed that his side dropped two more points in the race for automatic promotion.
However, some perspective is needed as that was the first game Leeds have failed to win at Elland Road in eight attempts.

The Whites just did not do enough to pick up another win, and the pressure is now on heading into next week’s showdown with Ipswich Town.
If nothing else, at least Rodon got the chance to catch up with one of his former team-mates at the end of his shift for the day.
Farke will now need the centre-back and every one of his team-mates at their absolute best when Ipswich visit Elland Road.
In other Leeds United news, a journalist criticised Farke for something he did during the second half of the draw with Coventry.
