Leeds to announce Marcelo Bielsa contract this week – Angus Kinnear
Leeds United are finally set to announce the new contract of Marcelo Bielsa this week, it has been confirmed.
Speaking on the Squareball podcast, Kinnear shared that it has been shaken on for the past six months between all parties at Elland Road.
Bielsa is a man of his word, and will lead the Whites out at Old Trafford in yet another mouth-watering Premier League opener.

The Squareball released their podcast late on Monday evening, and Kinnear confirmed the news we have all been waiting for.
“It will do, it’ll be signed this week and announced to great excitement [before Man Utd],” he said.
“It really is a formality, we had a handshake probably six months ago. It really is just the details.”

Is anything a formality?
What we have come to learn following Leeds for man years now, is that nothing is as simple as a formality.
Bielsa loves it in West Yorkshire and has made it his home, but until it is official, part of us is left biting our nails.
El Loco left Lille after a matter of days, so a last-minute change of heart wouldn’t be very surprising.
What is different about Leeds is how he has fallen in love with his surroundings, it is no surprise given that he has managed this club longer than any other before in his career.
It wasn’t until the very last moment his deal was announced last year, so this is all normal, but at least we now have that confirmation that it will be done.
Bring on the new season.
