Leeds still have ‘great’ interest in Omar Colley

Leeds United have a “great” interest in Sampdoria defender Omar Colley this summer, according to Club Doria 46.

The Italian outlet have shared numerous updates on the Whites’ interest, and it looks as though that has been stepped up.

West Ham are also mentioned as another option, but no club has yet met the asking price of the Italian club.

Leeds have been linked previously, but things have gone quiet in recent months.

It is reported that it would take an offer of only £12.7million to secure yet another defender at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa could be considering his options after Diego Llorente pulled up with yet another injury during pre-season.

Liam Cooper, Robin Koch and Pascal Struijk all started against Villareal, though, with the Whites hoping for better luck this season with injuries.

No need.

We have to trust Rob Price and his team to work their magic and hopefully minimise these injuries happening again.

Llorente, Cooper and Koch all suffered huge injuries last season, and it led to real problems and consistency in defence.

That’s why it is never possible to sweep these links and rumours under the carpet, as you never know how Bielsa may be feeling about his defensive options and reliability.

Club Doria seem more set on the possibility of Colley sticking in Italy with Sampdoria, with no offers being tabled as of yet.

On top of that, it is no secret that the Whites want a midfielder and possibly a winger in this window, with no real mention of a defender.

This one will go in the unlikely category from us.
