Leeds star features in group video call with Jonathan Leko

Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts has been spotted in a video group call with West Brom forward Jonathan Leko.

It is Leko’s 21st birthday today (Friday) and late last night, it seems that he caught up with some of his friends to celebrate online due to the lockdown measures currently in place in the UK.

The former Charlton loanee, who was judged to have been racially abused by Leeds goalkeeper Kiko Casilla, uploaded an image via his personal Instagram account showing himself (bottom right), Roberts (second down on the left) and Albion team-mate Kyle Edwards (third down on the left), as well as others.

Roberts, 21, joined Leeds from West Brom in January 2019 after rising through the ranks of the Baggies academy alongside the likes of Leko and Edwards.

Wales international Roberts and the currently-injured Leko clearly still have a tight friendship and the relationship between them proved key in the FA’s findings when Casilla was judged to have racially abused the Albion forward.

The FA’s process used a WhatsApp conversation between Leko and Roberts to determine whether Roberts was aware of what Leko heard Casilla call him.

Clearly, the club that these players play for and the ugly incident at The Valley last year has not come between Leko and Roberts and that really is great to see.
