Leeds star Dominic Calvert-Lewin reacts as contract news announced
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has secured hero status at Leeds since joining from Everton in the summer.
Calvert-Lewin moved to Leeds on a free transfer, and has wildly exceeded expectations at Elland Road in his first five months.
The 28-year-old has nine goals in 20 Premier League appearances, playing a key role as Daniel Farke‘s side look set to avoid relegation.
Now, he has reacted to an announcement about a new contract.

Leeds ace Dominic Calvert-Lewin still keeping an eye on Everton
Calvert-Lewin is clearly still monitoring events at his former club, where he spent nine years before moving on to LS11.
The Blues announced that midfielder James Garner has signed a new contract that will keep him on Merseyside until 2030.
Taking to Instagram on 23 January, Garner said: “So happy to extend my stay, I’ve felt the love since I’ve been here !! Especially this season, let’s push for more.”
The Whites ace reacted by liking the post, and ex-Peacocks loanee Djed Spence commented, saying “nice Jamo”
Why Calvert-Lewin will be fully focused on Leeds future
Calvert-Lewin will be hoping to make the most out of his own career, as well as concerning himself with the progress made by former teammates.
He will want to earn a new contract with the Whites, a bumper pay rise and an extension on the three-year-deal that he signed a short while ago.
He is going the right way about it at moment, with his tremendous goalscoring form earning shouts for an England recall for the World Cup this summer, with Thomas Tuchel surely considering the possibility.
| Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Sheffield United | 12 | 0 | 0 |
| Stalybridge Celtic (loan) | 5 | 6 | 0 |
| Northampton Town (loan) | 26 | 8 | 1 |
| Everton | 273 | 71 | 22 |
| Leeds | 21 | 9 | 1 |
The veteran forward could well put himself firmly in the Leeds history books if he continues on his current run.
Farke will hope that he can keep it going as long as possible, as if Calvert-Lewin is fit and firing, his side are likely to be away from any relegation danger for the foreseeable future.
The only concern may be his injury record, he missed 95 games in his time with the Toffees, but so far that has not plagued him in Yorkshire.
That is another reason why the former Sheffield United man will want to have the security that a bumper deal brings, in case injury hampers his future.
Right now though, he is playing regularly and finding the net often, which can only benefit the club and himself.
