Leeds player shouldn’t be at Elland Road after what he did v Stoke – Tim Sherwood
Leeds United put together an unforgettable performance at Elland Road against Stoke City, with numerous players catching the eye.
The Whites had plenty of pressure on them heading into this match as they push for a return to the Premier League, and Daniel Farke’s men more than stepped up to the challenge.
The Yorkshire giants blew away their opponents with an emphatic first-half performance that saw them five goals up by the break.
Four goals in the space of 41 minutes for Joel Piroe showcased that Leeds are more than ready for the top flight, with Junior Firpo also adding to the first-half goals.
Wilfried Gnonto wrapped up the performance in the second half by scoring Leeds’ sixth goal, ensuring that they won the game in style.
However, it was a different player who caught the eye due to the quality that he provided throughout his performance.

Sherwood blown away by Tottenham loanee Manor Solomon
It was an impressive display from Farke’s squad, with everyone in the team showcasing their qualities in what proved to be a comfortable and routine victory.
However, Manor Solomon was the one player who stood out the most in the eyes of former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood.
Match Stats | Solomon |
Total Shots | 2 |
Accurate Passes | 42/50 (84%) |
Touches | 66 |
Successful Dribbles | 2/2 (100%) |
The 25-year-old dazzled on the left wing with his qualities and managed to pick up two assists throughout his performance.
His performance was of such a high standard that Sherwood questioned if he even belongs at Elland Road.
He said on Sky Sports News (21 April): “What a delivery from Manor Solomon. What a player he is. He shouldn’t be at Leeds.”

Manor Solomon’s future is uncertain
There is a good chance that Solomon doesn’t play for Leeds again next season, as he is only in Yorkshire on a loan deal until the end of the season from Spurs.
While Solomon has settled in nicely with high-quality performances and a strong attacking output, and that has led to a lot of Leeds fans hoping that he will be signed permanently in the summer.
The Whites will be hoping to add as much quality as possible to the squad in a bid to ensure they’re able to compete and remain in the Premier League moving forward.
Solomon is someone who ticks that box, and the winger is said to be interested in making the move permanent if Leeds are able to secure promotion.
The Israel international wants to play in the top flight of English football, but if Spurs end up bringing in a new manager, then a move away might be harder for Leeds to pull off.
