Pascal Struijk has been ripped to shreds by his Leeds United team-mates after he returned to training this week with a rather questionable lockdown-cut.
Since restrictions were placed on public gatherings and certain businesses in the UK in March, no one has been able to go to the barbers and get their hair sorted out.
Some players have probably got a wife, girlfriend or other family members at home who can sort their hair out for them but it seems that Struijk, 20, had a go at his with a hacksaw and a bowl.
Struijk’s Instagram post said that it is “good to be back” in training at Thorp Arch but the young Dutch defender has instead been trolled by his team-mates, as well as ex-Leeds ace Jack Clarke.
Clarke wrote in the comments: “Oh my fringe.”
Bryce Hosannah, Nohan Kenneh, Guile Amor and Oliver Casey also joined in with the pile-on but Adam Forshaw’s comment on Struijk is our favourite.
Forshaw responded to seeing Struijk’s trim by saying: “Wimbledon have called, they want that tennis ball back.”
Poor Pascal but maybe he should have done what a lot of people have done and completely shaved their hair off during lockdown to avoid terrible trims like this.
Aside from the centre-back’s hairstyle, it is good to see Struijk is back in training at Thorp Arch and looking well.
Leeds’ players seem to have made the most of the lockdown to get themselves as fit as humanly possible and Marcelo Bielsa must be delighted with that.
In other Leeds United news, Jermaine Beckford was surprised when Bielsa signed this one player.
