Leeds made to sweat on Jayden Bogle injury status after nasty clash vs Wolves

Leeds enjoyed an almost perfect weekend after beating Wolves 3-1 at Molineux on Saturday.

Daniel Farke’s side fell behind to an early Ladislav Krejci strike, but recovered with three first-half goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach and Noah Okafor.

All three summer signings notched their first goals for Leeds in this well-deserved victory.

Calvert-Lewin’s all-action performance will have Leeds fans excited about his future in white, while Stach registered another dominant performance in midfield.

The result means Leeds have seven points after five games, leaving them well clear of the relegation places in a positive start.

Bogle injury status unclear after nasty clash against Wolves

Farke was praised for delivering a “faultless” performance in the way he set up his Leeds side.

His team was well-organised defensively, and their ruthlessness in front of goal may quash fears surrounding Leeds’ attacking prowess.

If there was one disappointment to come from the game, it was the sight of Jayden Bogle limping off the pitch injured.

It’s been confirmed that he is suffering from a swollen foot. Unfortunately for Leeds fans, it can take a few days to diagnose how long this type of injury may affect a player.

Leeds’ defensive strength in depth will prove invaluable this season

Leeds’ defensive unit has provided a solid foundation for their bright start to the season.

In their opening five games, they have kept two clean sheets while only conceding once in two other games. That’s a solid start for a team that’s supposed to be battling relegation.

Leeds have already lost Lucas Perri to injury this season and haven’t yet started Jaka Bijol, but their replacements have stepped in flawlessly.

Bogle has been solid for Leeds so far this season, and it was his cross that set up Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s superb headed equaliser.

Leeds fans will be sweating on his injury update and hoping he’s available for Saturday’s fixture against Bournemouth at Elland Road.

If not, they have a proven Premier League full-back in Justin, ready to deputise.
