Leeds intensify talks to sign Matheus Cunha – report
Leeds United have stepped up their talks to sign Hertha Berlin attacker Matheus Cunha, according to UOL.
The online outlet has reported on their website that talks have been intensified after Marcelo Bielsa’s orders.
Cunha will represent Brazil at this summer’s Olympics in Tokyo and would miss the majority of pre-season if signed.

The Brazilian has signed a new contract with the German club this year, but it should have no negative effect on any potential move.
It is reported that Cunha will cost at most £25.8million, which fits perfectly into the budget that Andrea Radrizzani has set previously in the Premier League.
Bielsa was also the one who requested the signing of Raphinha last season and based on that, he usually gets his wishes granted by the club.
With El Loco’s future set to be resolved sooner rather than later, this could be the first signing that follows him into Thorp Arch.
Signing one?
Victor Orta wanted to get his business done before the start of July, but that is now looking impossible with only one week left and nothing announced.
The EUROs and the COPA America won’t have helped, and now it looks as though the Olympics may also play a part in our transfer plans.
Cunha didn’t make the Brazil squad for the first mentioned tournament, giving him the chance to shine and also win a gold medal in Tokyo.
Sealing a big-money move to Elland Road with a medal around his neck could make it the perfect summer, we just hope that doesn’t affect the time it takes to get used to Bielsa’s fitness demands.
We all know it’s not an easy task, but hopefully, Cunha can get straight into his stride should he eventually complete this move.
